Today more than any truth I jotted down in my journal, snapped my fingers to in agreement, or stored in my heart I was struck by how amazing it is to be a part of the family of God.
I love connecting with older brothers and sisters in Christ who are confidently sharing the good news of hope through their unique stories and talents. Just seeing their lives encourages me as I discover what it means for me to live out my faith, taking risks to live differently and love differently.
Spending time with friends also takes on greater significance as we are able to talk freely about how God has been working in our lives and offering more than a listening ear and condolences but being able to pray for one another and remind each other of powerful truths.
Another cool aspect about being a part of the family of God is being able to sit down with strangers and leave as family as we share how our same God is working so differently in each of our lives.
Then finishing the night praying with a stadium of 16,000 for the global church, Christians being persecuted for their faith, and even for those who oppose us. Learning to humble myself to pray and go step further to pray constantly for those who oppose me… this is what it is like to be a part of the family of God.
I love being a part of the all inclusive family of God.
